PIR (Polyisocyanurate Foam)

This is an insulation with “Polyisocyanurate” as a central filling insulation, also known as PIR Foam. It is the development of PUR Polyurethane with the better properties comparing to PU Foam; i.e., it offers better heat resistant, non-flammable, low-smoke properties. Therefore, it is suitable to be used as insulation while providing more safety. It takes a long time to ignite for its high heat resistance.

HIGH HEAT RESISTANCE

HIGH HEAT RESISTANCE

PIR has an Isocyanurate ring structure which offers a high resistance to burning and heat. The PIR, when igniting, creates a carbon layer to cover the surface in order to help prevent oxygen gas from contacting the foam inside which may cause a fire. It is suitable to be used as a precast thermal wall in various industrial plants.
