EPS (Expanded Polystylene Foam)
This insulator is equipped with PS foam as the primary insulating material using Pentane gas (C5H12). During manufacturing process called polymerization, PS will react with Pentane gas inside. When it is used to manufacture EPS foam, the raw material will expand. After being heated by steam, it will transform into white foam beads prior to being casted.
TYPE OF EPS
EPS is classified into two categories.
EPS foam sheets can be divided into 2 categories, namely, non-flame retardant EPS foam sheet and flame retardant EPS foam sheet. It is also known as P-grade and F-grade sheets, respectively.
